Dino BORTOLOTTO, a graduate engineer from the University
of Padua, is the CEO of Infotech and the President of Assoprovider,
an independent association of 200 Internet service providers companies
(ISP) which contributed to the "Libro Bianco su copyright e tutela
dei diritti fondamentali sulla rete internet" (2011).
Francesco
CAJANI is an Italian Deputy Public Prosecutor. He is presently
working at the High Tech Crime Unit of Milan Law Court. He has
published a number of articles about cybercrime in legal periodicals.
He is a member of the technical and scientific Committee of the
International Information Systems Forensic Association (IISFA)
and frequently lectures to prosecutors, judges and lawyers on
subjects related to cybercrime.
Guido
COLUMBA worked
as a journalist at national news agency "Ansa" for more than 20
years. He has been President of Unci (National Association of
Italian Reporters, counting more than 1500 members) since 1993.
He is a frequent guest speaker at conferences on media freedom
and journalism ethics and has been on the forefront of national
campaigns for the independence of the press.
Elena FALLETTI is a Research Fellow in Comparative Private
Law at Carlo Cattaneo – LIUC University, Castellanza (Italy),
She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Law from Milan University (Italy)
and is Post - doc Fellow at Max Planck Institut für Geistiges
Eigentum (München, D), DAAD Stipendiatin e Marie Curie Fellow
at Westfälische Wilhelm-Universität (Münster, D). Her interests
cover Human Rights Law and Internet Law.
Matteo
FORNARA, Director of European Commission representation offices
in Milan, is a journalist, and has been an official of the European
Commission since 1995. His interests cover social affairs, industrial
and commercial policies. He has represented the European Commission
in 34 countries in Europe and abroad.
Rita
GUMA is an electronic engineer and an expert in planning and
managing web-sites, from both the technical and the legal point
of view. She is President of 'Osservatorio sulla legalità e sui
diritti Onlus' and a consultant to the European Experts Chambers
Union, an NGO based in Brussels. She is an author and a guest
speaker on uman rights at universities.
Hiroshi
MAESO is a lawyer practising at the Tokyo bar and an associate
in The Tokyo-Marunouchi Law Offices. He specialized at The Legal
Training and Research Institute of Japan Supreme Court. His practice
covers Business Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property Law,
Criminal Law and Information Technology and he is also an author
of essays on this issues.
Jane
MORI is a lawyer and a business counsel practising in Milan
and Bergamo. She has frequently been a guest speaker at seminars,
focusing on labour law, cybercrime and institutions' liability,
particularly in the light of D. Lgs 231/01. She was also a teacher
of Corporate governance at the University of Hangzhou (China).
Vinicio
NARDO, a lawyer, has a long experience in practising Criminal
Law and is a former president of Camera Penale in Milan. He is
currently a member of the national board of Unione Camere Penali
Italiane (one of the Italian lawyers associations). He is a partner
in the Studio Saponara e Nardo in Milan.
Antonio
NOTO is a sociologist. He was the founder, and is still the
CEO, of IPR Marketing, a leading company in opinion polling, providing
analysis on public opinion on political issues. He has contributed
to a wide range of national newspapers, magazines and tv programs
commenting on polls.
Davide PINARDI is an essay writer and a scriptwriter. He
has worked for a number of national tv stations in Italy and abroad.
He is also a creative writing teacher at Brera Academy of Fine
Arts in Milan and a professor of Communications at Politecnico.
He has been a scientific adviser to Osservatorio sulla Legalità
e sui Diritti for more than ten years.
Francesco PIZZETTI, President of the Italian Data Protection
Authority since 2005, is Full Professor of Constitutional Law
at the University of Turin and has been Chairman of the European
Working Party on Police and Justice (WPPJ) for five years, advising
the legislative authorities in matters relating to data protection,
exposing the risks the legislator's initiatives imply for civil
freedoms, and proposing alternatives that are more respectful
of individuals' rights when it comes to the processing of their
personal data.
Daniel
ROBERTS is Director Risk Services at Crowe Horwath Global
Risk Consulting in London. He brings over 30 years experience
in Innovation, Internal Audit and Risk Management, Information
Systems Audit. Before moving to Europe, he was the National Director
of Assurance Innovation at Grant Thornton LLP in the United States.
Before that, he had his own practice providing Risk Management
and Internal Audit outsourcing services in New Zealand, and has
served clients in Australia, United States, Thailand, Malaysia
and the United Kingdom.
Uri SADEH joined INTERPOL’s Human Trafficking Sub-Directorate
in 2007. At INTERPOL he currently serves as project manager in
the crimes against children team, focusing his work on the international
child sexual exploitation. He holds a Law degree from the Hebrew
University in Jerusalem and a Master degree in Human Rights from
the London School of Economics and Social Sciences. As a lawyer,
he has worked with NGOs and administration in Israel.
Marietje SCHAAKE, MEP, is a sociologist. Before joining
the European Parliament, she worked as an independent advisor
to governments, diplomats, businesses and NGO's, on issues of
transatlantic relations, diversity and pluralism, civil and human
rights and integration. As a MEP, she serves on the Committee
on Foreign Affairs (AFET), where she focuses on neighborhood policy,
human rights and Iran. In the Committee on Culture, Media, Education,
Youth and Sports she works on Europe's Digital Agenda and is rapporteur
of a Report on the role of culture and new media in the EU´s external
actions. She is the current chairperson of the PGA (Parliamentarians
for Global Action) EP Group and is also a founder of the European
Parliament Intergroup on New Media and Technology.
Giuseppe
SINISCALCHI is a lawyer in Milan. His key qualifications cover
civil, commercial and criminal law. He is interested in matters
of privacy and data protection. He has published several articles
in legal periodicals and has been a guest speaker at seminars
for lawyers on several occasions. He is a member of the Legal
and Technical Committee of the Osservatorio sulla Legalità e sui
Diritti.
Matteo
M. WINKLER is a lawyer specialized in intellectual property
and information technology law. He holds a Ph.D. in International
Economic Law from Bocconi Commercial University and an LL.M. degree
from Yale Law School. He is widely published in major Italian
and U.S. law reviews and regularly lectures at Bocconi Commercial
University and at Catholic University of Milan on private and
public international law, international civil procedure, international
economic law and European law.
Mario
ZANCHETTI is Dean of the Faculty of Law at Università Carlo
Cattaneo (LIUC), in Castellanza (VA), where he is Full Professor
of Criminal Law, Professor of Criminology and Co-Director of the
2nd-level Master's Degree in Forensic Criminology. He authored
several publications on economic criminal law. He is a criminal
lawyer and a partner of Studio Legale Pulitanò Zanchetti, in Milan.
He is a member of several national and international scientific
associations.
